The objective of Maecenas World Patrimony Foundation is the conservation of art and historic objects from the collections of the United Nations' offices and its agencies.
By its nature, the United Nations cannot raise funds for purposes beyond its statutory objectives. It cannot call on direct sponsorship and the UN can accept donations only within certain limits.
The United Nations has in fact no budget for the conservation of this part of its cultural heritage.

- preparation of the restoration plan
- creating awareness of the need for its restoration, locally and internationally
Today, as part of the restoration and renovation of the Palais des Nations and its park, this goal is being achieved.
In addition, in collaboration with the NGO Comprehensive Dialogue among Civilisations (Geneva) and Museum Geelvinck (Amsterdam), four exhibitions were realised in the Library of the Palais des Nations as part of the United Nations Dialogue among Civilisations to raise awareness for this effort.
Currently, the MWPF focusses on digitally presenting to a worldwide audience these important works of art dedicated to peace.
